Regulation (EU) 2019/1010 introduced the obligations for Member States to report any environmental damage to the European Commission. The new changes in Liability for prevention and elimination of environmental damages Act provide the creation of an information system maintained by the Minister of Environment and Water.
This information system collects and processes information on:
- the type of environmental damage and possible threats to it;
- the date of occurrence or detection of the caused ecological damage possible threats to it;
- initiated legal proceedings in connection with an imminent threat of environmental damage or caused environmental damage.
