We would like to remind you that the term for the registration and update of the registration of personal data administrators under the Law on Protection of Personal Data (“LPPD”) expires on 15th Febr. 2010. According to the LPPD, the individuals or legal entities that process personal data shall register with the Commission for Personal Data Protection (“CPDP”) before the commencement of personal data processing.
In the event the personal data controller fails to observe the term of 15th Febr. 2010 for registration or actualization of its registration as a personal data controller, the CPDP may impose a fine or a property sanction at the amount between BGN 1 000 and BGN 10 000.
