According to Ordinance No. 1 as of the 8th of May 2019, the media service providers shall declare their beneficial owner until the 30th of June annually. The declaration shall also contain certain information regarding any funding received during the previous calendar year.
The requirement above is also established for the distributors of periodicals. They shall also declare the number of retail outlets of periodicals used in their commercial activities.
Both the media service providers and the distributors of periodicals are obliged to publish up-to-date information regarding their beneficial owner on their website.
The information provided by the abovementioned persons shall be contained in a public register, established and maintained by the Ministry of Culture. The register will be in electronic form, publicly available and free of charge.
The submitted declarations shall be kept in the register for 5 years period.
