Dear clients and visitors of our website,
Fake emails warning of copyright infringement are being distributed on behalf of Ilieva, Voutcheva & Co. Law Firm. Please note that any message with a sender email address that does not end with the email domain “ivlawfirm.com” is inauthentic and should not be opened.
Ilieva, Voutcheva & Co. Law Firm does not send such emails and does not issue copyright infringement notices in this manner.
What to watch out for
The emails in circulation constitute a so-called “phishing” attack aimed at infecting your system with malware.
This is achieved by downloading the software via a link that is most often included as part of the message or attachment. Therefore, under no circumstances click on any part of the message from such emails to avoid compromising the security of your system.
According to an announcement published by the State Bar, the headers of such emails most often read “Trademark Copyright Infringement Notice” or “Warning of Unauthorized Use of Trademark.”
What steps to take
In addition to deleting the spam message, if you receive such an email, you can send an alert to the Cybercrime Directorate of the General Directorate for Combating Cybercrime of the Ministry of Interior.
If you still have any doubts about the authenticity of the message sent, you can contact us.
