By using the Law Firm’s extensive contact network across Central and Eastern Europe, the legal team managed to successfully advise the client on the best possible way to establish its business presence in Serbia. As part of the legal assistance, in April 2014 we established a cross-border legal team with two main head offices in Sofia, Bulgaria and in Belgrade, Serbia, which worked together to achieve the goals set. The challenges in this case were connected with the different and sometimes cumbersome registration procedures in Serbia on one side, and the high degree of difference in the legislation between Serbia and Bulgaria, applicable to this type of businesses. Apparently the client was rather satisfied by the level of quality of the services provided since the company turned out to become our client for Dispute Resolution issues and for day-to-day corporate legal services.
