The EDPB has released a Data Protection Guide to assist small business owners in their direction to be more data protection compliant. The Guide targets to elevate attention of the GDPR and provide SMEs with practical information on how to comply with the GDPR in an accessible and easy-to-understand format.

The Guide covers various aspects of the GDPR, from the fundamentals of data protection to data subjects’ rights, data breaches, and more. It includes videos, infographics, interactive flowcharts, and other practical materials to help SMEs put data protection into practice, as well as an overview of practical materials developed by national Data Protection Authorities for SMEs.

The Guide is one of the EDPB’s 2023 awareness-raising activities and is a key initiative under the EDPB’s 2021-2023 strategy. It is currently available in English but will be made available in other languages over time.
