Protecting Ownership Rights in a High-Stakes Real Estate Case

Years ago, Mrs. Reni Petrova sought our assistance in acquiring a property in Sofia. Recently, Sofia Municipality asserted co-ownership over the land, revealing that prior owners had expanded the plot through state-granted rights and eventually purchased the entire plot from the municipality.

Our focus from the outset was to uphold Mrs. Petrova’s ownership rights. We successfully argued her case before the Sofia Regional Court, which recognized her as the sole owner of both the land and the buildings. Although both the municipality and state appealed, the appellate court ruled in her favor again, with a unanimous decision affirming her ownership.
