As a result of expanding its product portfolio our client needed new adequate brand protection for the new products. The client had registered previously an EU trademark and wanted the new products to be released on the market under the same brand. We advised the client on the specifics of adding new classes of protected goods and the need of a new trademark for the new products. As part of the process, we advised on the list of products which the future mark will be protecting and the geographical scope of protection. Our team represented the client before the EUIPO in the registration procedure which includes submersion of trademark application and communication with EUIPO until the registration is entered into force.
