In January 2016 our client initiated a business model of the start-up for shared rides development and expansion. Therefore, we were assigned to remodel the terms of use and privacy policy for the shared-economy site. The introduction of a B2C (business to consumer) model within the platform changed drastically the compliance check we have previously done for the client. This lead to additional compliance check on our behalf before amending and supplementing the terms of use of the platform. During our work we covered consumer protection regulations, data protection regulations, tourist services requirements and tax matters. We helped the client to structure its data protection internal procedures and documentation required for data controllers. The project was quite important and time limited because the client was planning to attend an international seed capital investment fair and all matters had to be cleared before the potential investors could evaluate the project.
