2011 as 2010 was another difficult year for Bulgaria business. The intercompany indebtedness for 2010 as per data of Bulgarian Industrial Association had amounted to approximately BGN 100 billion. The State had owed to the business between BGN 3 billion and BGN 5 billion. Having in mind this economic picture and being active in the area of corporate and commercial law with corporate clients creating the main body of our client portfolio, starting work in the area of debt collection activities was inevitable. The Law Firm has a long standing tradition in litigation and developed excellent litigators and the results for 2011 were quite encouraging – for various clients the Law Firm collected through court procedures and out-of-court settlements more than BGN 5 million.
