In 2016 at least 2 of our lawyers and/or legal consultants was trusted and assigned as liquidators of Bulgarian subsidiaries of foreign companies. A French parent company was disposing some of its business in Bulgaria. Due to the nature of the liquidation procedure we provided full commercial and financial due diligence for a period of 6 years. We examined all contacts (incl. Cash Management Agreement with the parent company) concluded and also all financial liabilities of the company in order to structure the liquidation procedure. After the financial due diligence of the liabilities we drafted a proposal to the parent company in order to close any outstanding issues and to minimize the tax burden of the company in process of liquidation and the parent company. Similar activities were undertaken for the offices of Hungarian and German companies in Bulgaria. Our team also made possible and working any and all communications with the state and municipal authorities.
