Representation of a client at a cross-border Arbitration Court case

In 2018 one of our clients assigned to Ilieva, Voutcheva & Co. Law Firm the initiation of arbitration proceedings against an Italian company. EU, Italian and Bulgarian legislations regulating public procurement, sale and treatment of imported waste in Bulgaria had to be considered when drafting and lodging the arbitration claim. The main dispute required specific knowledge of waste management and waste treatment industry.

The proceedings before the Arbitration Court in Bulgaria were initiated as a strategic step which would additionally help the client in the bankruptcy case of the respondent party in Italy.

Our lawyers represented the client in all arbitration hearing and managed to navigate the variety of evidence admitted by the arbitrator, e.g. witnesses questioning, accounting expertise, graphological expertise, etc.
